We are so pleased to announce that our biggest supporter Kev Collins from Fish D'Vine is donating a full dinner party for 8 including all the food to the Open Haven Campaign. You simply register here to be a host before the 26 August to go into the draw.
What does it look like to be a host for a My Giving Table event you ask?
You simply choose a date for your dinner party, lunch or cocktail party "with a cause", you set the ticket price and pick a theme for you event. Once you register those details, the team at My Giving Table set up a unique event page for you, with a unique URL. This page has an image for your event and all the details of your event, the theme, dress code, time and purpose. You share this link with your friends, as the invitation to your event. Your friends then register to attend and are happy to be invited.
Basically, My Giving Table act as your event planner by sending information emails to your friends that highlight the charity you are supporting with your event and also any other private event details that are not listed publicly, your address and any extra requests for guests before the event.
The beautiful thing is your efforts to host a simple party with friends has a powerful purpose. Not only is it a fun get together with loved ones, it has a deeper giving purpose. Each party, on average, raises between $500 and $1000 for the chosen charity, which is such an amazing achievement and one to be proud of as the host, your party makes a real difference. We love and applaud each and everyone of our hosts for taking the simple step to register and hold an event with a special giving purpose, a simple act of giving of ones time and energy to support those in need in our community...all while having a lovely time sharing a meal with friends and loved ones.
